About Denise Kautzer

Denise Kautzer is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a retired Certified Public Accountant in St. Paul, Minnesota who specializes in providing financial therapy, mental health services for individuals and couples counseling. She has her Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas and a Masters in Business Administration Degree from the University of St. Thomas as well. She is currently a member of the Minnesota Women in Psychology and the Financial Therapy Association.

Giving back to the community has always been a priority for Denise. Her volunteer experience has included work as a counselor at the Minneapolis Sexual Violence Center, serving as a board member and treasurer on a charter school board and as a member of the Executive Committee for the Minnesota Women in Psychology.

Prior to becoming a professional counselor, Denise worked for 28+ years in financial management. She brings her financial knowledge as a retired CPA and CFO, to help individuals and couples who are struggling with money issues. She also uses her many years of experience working with people to enhance therapy she provides to individuals and couples.

She is a wife, mother and grandmother who values peace of mind. To keep hers she reads and does anything outdoors (walking, hiking, kayaking, swimming, snowshoeing and cross country skiing).  She also does yoga, is an amateur watercolor artist and spends as many weekends as possible at her lake cabin.
